Meagan & Mike: Miami Mardi Gras

It's wonderful when life brings people together in fun ways. I met Meagan when I was shooting a WAKA (World Adult Kickball Association) Event on a lovely Saturday morning. Once she shared her New Orleans engagement story with me and I was head over heels. She and Mike truly know how to have fun in their relationship and not take things too seriously. They're the couple you'd love to have a beer and chat with. How great is it when you find two people who want to take that literally and add that to their session? Thanks for the beers, laughter, and love, you two!

Huntress Creative [ LOVE letters ]

Happy Friday.

My favorite thing about love is its singularity. Every couple carries a story unique to themselves that is being actively written and will never be told again. Some pairs happen to take this literally.

When Quinn and I first became an item he wrote me love letters on tiny line paper. They became such a sweet part of how our relationship unfolded and one of the many things that made me fall in love with him. With the idea of love being solely our own, much like our handwriting, I merged a few of those special words (and doodles) with our photographs. One sports the lyrics to "Strangers" by the Kinks, the first song that we heard as husband and wife.

Now I must give credit where it is due- Jordan Emmitt Photography is responsible for the lovely pictures. Check her out :)

Kay, so who wants to do a love letter shoot?

Stay lovely,

-JE
