Who would have thought South Florida had its own little Stonehenge?
For our paper anniversary Quinn got us tickets to The Coral Castle Museum, a quirky outdoor sculpture garden which was mysterious constructed by 100-pound Latvian man in the 1920s-50s and dedicated to the 16-year-old woman who broke his heart. I like to think he's a cosmic being.
Obviously the structures are astounding and unusual, but what I loved most was the blend of textures and how nature intertwines with Edward Leedskalnin's pieces. They're as beautiful to look at close up as they are far away.
If you want to know more about this mysterious place and strange, amazing man check out the Coral Castle Museum's site here. It's definitely worth the trip!
